Sales Associate

Location: Soundwoven Goods, Minneapolis, MN

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (Part-Time, hourly)

Compensation: $20/hr

Soundwoven Goods is a collection of home goods, fine art, furniture, lighting and accessories that are carefully sourced to find products that are thoughtfully made, enrich everyday life, and elevate the spaces people call home. Position Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our small team. The ideal candidate has an eye for design, enjoys creating welcoming customer experiences, and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment. As part of a small business, you’ll wear many hats—helping with sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and daily shop upkeep. This position will have set shift(s) that stay the same each week. We are seeking individuals who can cover the full open-close hours on the days they are available.  

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers, offering knowledgeable and genuine guidance about our products.
  • Maintain polished, visually appealing sales floor and displays
  • Process transactions accurately using our POS system
  • Support online order fulfillment and packaging
  • Assist with restocking, inventory counts, and receiving shipments
  • Create and share engaging photo and video content for Instagram & TikTok that highlights products, shop moments, and events
  • Provide friendly, attentive service to our artists, designers, and retail partners
  • Contribute to store events and promotions as needed
  • Help ensure the store runs smoothly day-to-day (cleaning, organizing, opening/closing duties)

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, gallery, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine enthusiasm for home design, art, and craftsmanship
  • Comfort with technology (POS systems, email, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs and stand for extended period
