Fresa was named as a reclamation of the Mexican slang used to negatively describe a stuck up girl, one that is spoiled and never satisfied. A nickname my parents gave me, one my Mom still uses, made popular in the 90s with the song Niña Fresa that I loved as a toddler (still do tbh).
