Emma Le Konrad is a Minneapolis, MN based ceramicist. Her work is strongly inspired by Scandinavian design and its impact on the American mid-century and retro design movements. A core principle of Scandinavian design is functionality, something emphasized in Konrad’s pieces. All work is thrown on a potter’s wheel. Each piece is hand drawn and hand painted with a wax resist to create the graphic and bold patterns that appear after glazing and firing.
